Terms of Service

Uptime is operated by Joe Reid, trading as Stratavue— a sole trader in the United Kingdom (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Uptime you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Uptime analyses your Age of Empires II replays and gives you post-game coaching — a verdict, timing gaps versus a benchmark, and your history. It is free to use. It is a coaching aid based on data we extract from your replays; it is informational, not a guarantee of any result or rank.

You sign in with Discord or Google. A watcher app on your PC carries a secret token so its uploads attach to your account — keep it private, and revoke it in Settings if it is exposed. You are responsible for activity under your account. One account is for one person.

You agree not to:

• upload replays that are not yours to upload, or that you have no right to share;
• attempt to access other users' data, or to defeat the per-account access controls;
• abuse, overload, scrape, or attack the service or its infrastructure;
• resell or commercially redistribute the analysis output as your own product;
• use the service unlawfully or to harass others.

How we handle your personal data is set out in our Privacy policy. In short: we parse each uploaded replay on our server to extract gameplay facts, then discard the raw replay file — we never store it. We keep the extracted facts and your report so you can see history; you can export or delete them at any time from Settings.

Age of Empires II and its assets are the property of Microsoft. Uptime is not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft. We do not use, store, or reproduce Microsoft's game assets: Uptime works on facts (timings and other numbers) computed from your replays, presented in our own original interface. The Uptime name, interface, and original content are ours; you may not copy or reuse them except as the service allows.

Uptime is free and funded by display advertising (Google AdSense, subject to your cookie choices — see the Privacy policy) and by voluntary donations. Donations are optional, are not a purchase, and unlock no features (everything is already free); they are handled by Stripe on a hosted page and are generally non-refundable except where the law requires.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the analysis is error-free, that the benchmark is current, that the watcher will capture every game, or that the service will be uninterrupted. Coaching output is informational and you rely on it at your own discretion.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of a free service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud). You can stop using Uptime and delete your account at any time (Settings → Delete my account). We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms or to protect the service. If we discontinue the service we will give reasonable notice where we can.

We may update these terms; we will update the date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
